Over the past few years, I have been amassing a large number of tissue samples from throughout the Coral Triangle and Southeast Asia. Thanks to the contributions of my fantastical collaborators and coauthors, I have also been lucky to get samples from the Indian Ocean as well. I presented a molecular assessment of the big fin reef squid cryptic species complex last year at the 2012 Cephalopod International Advisory Council (CIAC) Symposium in Florianopolis, Brazil.
